Main Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment
- Work with the heads of the various departments to identify volunteer needs.
- Help draft and update job descriptions.
- Follow up on applications received.
- Contact candidates for an initial discussion to understand their background, motivations, and availability.
- Provide feedback and refer applications to the relevant managers for the next steps in the process.
Coordinating Volunteer Activities
- Help onboard new volunteers.
- Maintain regular communication with the teams.
- Identify the needs, expectations, and any challenges faced by volunteers.
- Help track volunteer numbers and update volunteer management tools.
Community Engagement
- Proactively propose ideas to strengthen volunteer engagement.
- Work with the communications team to plan social gatherings, meetups, and recognition events.
- Help organize internal events (orientation sessions, meetups, training sessions, after-work gatherings, etc.).
- Help highlight the commitment of volunteers within Fier-Play.
Contributing to the Association’s Development
- Help improve the volunteer experience on an ongoing basis.
- Suggest tools or best practices to facilitate the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of volunteers.
- Help make Fier-Play a welcoming, inclusive, and committed organization.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to listen.
- Ability to conduct a motivational interview.
- Strong writing skills for drafting job descriptions and reports.
- Organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
- Proficiency in office and collaborative software.
- Interest in how nonprofit organizations operate and in volunteer management.
The volunteer will be supported by the Fier-Play management team to learn about the organization’s operations, structure, and volunteer management tools. He or she will contribute
