NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2026

EDITORIAL
At the start of this new year, on behalf of Fier-Play, I would like to extend my best wishes to each and every one of you.
The past year has been marked by many changes and significant developments for our association. These transformations have enabled us to consolidate our project, clarify our ambitions, and strengthen our commitment to a more inclusive, respectful, and open sport for all.
We are approaching this new year with enthusiasm and determination, driven by exciting projects ahead, new collaborations, and a strong desire to continue developing and structuring Fier-Play. The actions taken in recent months demonstrate the relevance of our collective work and the growing importance of these issues within the sports movement.
I would like to express my immense gratitude to all of our partners, as well as our volunteers, whose commitment, energy, and trust are essential to the success of our actions. It is thanks to you that Fier-Play continues to move forward and make a difference.
Together, let’s continue to build a fairer, prouder, and resolutely forward-looking sport.

🚀 Let’s move forward together!

First training course delivered at INSEP
On December 4, Fier-Play spoke at INSEP during a morning training session organized by the Ministry of Sports, bringing together more than 90 representatives from federations and DRAJES, both in person and remotely. This session, co-hosted with the Alice Milliat Association, the LGBT+ Sports Federation, and Outrans, was supported by the CNOSF and the CPSF.
The goal was to raise awareness among training stakeholders about LGBTIQ+ issues in sports. A more comprehensive module and practical information sheets are currently in preparation. In addition, the associations remain committed to providing dedicated training.

LAB: Focus on non-binary people
Between November and December 2025, Fier-Play organized three LAB workshops dedicated to sports for non-binary people. During nearly six hours of collective work, some fifteen participants from associations, universities, and institutions identified concrete areas for improvement. These reflections will inform Fier-Play’s future actions and proposals to the sports movement.
Partnership alert: the National Sports Agency supports Fier-Play!
Signed in December 2025, the partnership with the National Sports Agency marks a milestone for Fier-Play. It will enable the association to strengthen its development, consolidate its organization, and roll out its projects more widely, thereby amplifying its impact in favor of more inclusive sports.

Fier-Quiz
In which city will the next Winter Games be held in February 2026?
Portrait of the day
Fier-Play is spotlighting one of the ambassadors of its Proud Champions network, developed with Compete Proud, Jérémy Clamy-Edroux.

French rugby player Jérémy Clamy-Edroux, who played for Rouen Normandie Rugby and Stade Français, also represented France in the rugby sevens team.
In 2021, he came out in the documentary Faut qu’on parle (Canal+), becoming one of the first French professional players to speak openly about his homosexuality. Proud of his journey, he campaigns for greater tolerance and respect in sport.

ANSWER TO THE FIER-QUIZ
The correct answer is Milan! The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. This will be the first time Milan has hosted the Games, but the third time for Italy, after Cortina d’Ampezzo in 1956 and Turin in 2006.
By way of comparison, Vancouver hosted the Winter Olympics in 2010, while Beijing will host the Winter Olympics in 2022, becoming the first city in history to have hosted both the Summer (2008) and Winter Games.
