FIER-PLAY

Acting to promote fair play, inclusion, and respect for people in sport regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, gender expression, or gender identity.

Fier-Play: For a more inclusive sport that respects all forms of diversity

Fier-Play is a French association that promotes inclusion, diversity, and respect in sports. We believe that sports are a universal language capable of bringing people together, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender expression, or gender identity.

Created by passionate advocates, our mission is to raise awareness, educate, and support those involved in the sports world in order to combat all forms of discrimination. We work in partnership with sports stakeholders, associations, and local authorities to promote inclusive practices and ensure a healthy and respectful environment for all.

Through our actions, we aim to transform sport into a space of solidarity and kindness, where everyone can flourish freely and fully.

Our values

Respect of diversity

Respect for diversity values differences and recognizes that each individual has their own uniqueness, whether cultural, social, religious, sexual orientation, or other. It encourages acceptance and appreciation of this multicultural richness that makes our world so unique and vibrant.

Equity

Equity emphasizes the fair distribution of opportunities and resources among all members of a society. It recognizes that everyone’s needs are unique and strives to meet them by taking their specific circumstances into account. Thus, equity does not simply treat everyone the same, but aims to give everyone what they need to succeed.

Inclusion

Inclusion promotes a society in which every person, regardless of their identity or abilities, is valued and has the opportunity to participate fully in social, economic, political, and cultural life.
It focuses on removing barriers that may prevent certain people from thriving.

Passionate volunteers

Our team is made up of passionate and committed volunteers who share a common vision: to make sport a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for everyone. Volunteers play a central role in implementing our projects and organizing our activities in the field.
These volunteers embody the values of the association and work every day to make sport more inclusive.

Association board

The association’s office is at the heart of Fier-Play’s dynamic. It is composed of two co-presidents who combine their strengths and ideas to steer strategic actions, a treasurer who ensures the sound financial management of our projects, and a secretary general who handles administrative and organizational matters.

Our organisation

Thematic committees

To structure our initiatives, we have created five thematic committees made up of passionate volunteers: three dedicated to our missions and two providing support.

These bodies are responsible for developing the various projects that drive the association.

01

Supporting sport organizations

Supporting sports organizations (federations, associations, local authorities) in implementing concrete action plans to promote inclusion in and through sport.

02

Supporting high-level athletes

Support high-level athletes through the various stages of their coming out by connecting them with partners who will enable them to pursue their careers as accomplished athletes, both professionally and personally.

03

Supporting victims of LGBTIQ+phobia in sport

Help victims of LGBTIQ+phobia in sport by supporting them and helping them to return to sport in a calm and regular manner.

04

Communication

Bring Fier-Play to life among all the association’s stakeholders in order to share its ambition: to create a more inclusive sport that promotes inclusion and respect for diversity, for a better society.

05

Life of the association

Be the beating heart of the association by organizing social events and volunteering, but also be the driving force behind the association in organizing its major events.
